How do I hide my IP in VirtualBox? I want to surf anonymously in Firefox/VirtualBox.

I've tried changing the >File >preferences >Proxy, but no luck.

I've tried changing the >settings >Network >Nat and Bridged, but I just don't know how to do it.

My Goal--> I want to surf anonymously on firefox inside ubuntu/VirtualBox.

    Any Ideas?

How are you connected to virtualbox?

Maybe you can try a software like hotspotshield

Although if it changes your IP address and you're connecting remotely there's a potential for you to not make it back in. I'd be careful with anything that can hide/change the IP of a virtual machine you're not running locally (on your pc)

    good luck!

There's no true anonimity.. You can obscure things to the point where it becomes extremely difficult, but there's no bullet proof solution.

If you want to browse anonymously try the Tor Browser bundle. It's self contained and does a good job as obfuscation.
