how do I get seod in google and other search engines for my party planning website?

    I have a friend who needs to get listed in google, her website is based in portland oregon and we need it get listed in top of google. So whenever someone types in party planners in oregon or some other keywords the site will get listed closer to the top.

    Her party planning business has a few bartenders and other stuff it is pretty cool.
    Musicians too

    Please any help will be great

    The best advice that I can give you is to spend time reading and learning. Everyone here is trying to do that exact same thing with their keywords, so I doubt you will get any free handouts.
    However, there is a plethora of information throughout this site (and others) and will assist and teach you how to continually build your search rankings.

    You hire someone to do it for you.

    You don't just need to rank for organic search, you also need to rank in Google local and you need to do so for a whole bunch of keywords (because the basic keywords you want gets barely any searches, so you also need someone to do the keyword research for you).

    Trouble is unless she is a high end party planner, the cost involved will likely outweigh the returns. I would actually try setting up pay per click advertizing with Google, Bing and Facebook before trying to SEO anything in this instance. It shouldn't cost that much beause the amount of traffic still won't be great.
