long story short, i got ranked for the wrong keyterms on an article. Since then I have deleted the page, but I still pop up in google (been 3 days now)

I want to get de-indexed for that page before i re-publish it so google doesnt think its dupe content, but I have no clue how to make google realize that page no longer exists

    tips?

Indexed for the wrong keywords...? How in the world... Why didn't you just edit the page instead of deleting it and now reuploading it? And did you edit the article after deleting it? Otherwise you'll still rank for the "wrong keywords."

You could always try pinging the site, or getting "backlinks" for it:
    Code:
    http://www.imtalk.org/cmps_index.php?pageid=IMT-Website-Submitter
Not really backlinks, just helps get it indexed...or I guess de-indexed.

because its not my website, its an article submission site

i'm about 99% sure the reason i was ranked for the wrong keyterms is simply cause of the URL i used, which i cant change beyond deleting and resubmitting.

so I'm tryin gto figure out how to get google to realize that article submission websites url (containing my article) is no longer published, that way I can re-submit it again

k so i removed my article, waited a few days and google did nothing for update, so i pinged the url (hoping google would change to it saying "this page no longer exists" or something) but no, google still sees my page with its old information

I'm scared to post it online again cause I dont wanna get busted for dupe content =/

Rewrite the article and you should be fine... make sure that you stuff that puppy with the kw you want to rank for as well.

That' good KW density and 950 or so is not to bad to rewrite.
