How do I get a search listing like this?

Hey all, I see search results very regularly now where a picture supports the listing. What do I need to integrate into my site and SEO for my site to be complimented with an image? Please see attached for clarification.

That's a G00gle authorship profile. You need to set up a G+ account, set-up which website(s) that you are the author of, insert a snippet code on your website(s) that links back to your G+ account.

How active will the Google+ account need to be? If I update it once a fortnight will that lessen my chances of getting a listing like this?

Authorship markup is not necessarily displayed based on how active the G+ profile is. It is calculated by Google with a private algorithm that is intended to determine whether showing the image adds value to the search experience. Look up authorship markup and the rich snippets testing tool to get all of this working quite easily. There are loads of guides out there!

You should add some of the best Meta keywords to the name of your listing and short description . hopefully they match headings in your page.
