I'm looking through various "free trial offers" that pay a few bucks per lead. I know sometimes people spam the hell out of these on CL, but I've also heard that some affiliates don't allow this.

If it's not specifically prohibited in their terms then it's allowed, right?

Also, if I'm gonna do this I need to do a "blank the referrer" right so it looks like the traffic is coming from a legit ad on my website rather than from an email reply to a CL ad?

The best way its to maintain a good relationship with your AM.

Of course you don't say to him/her you do black hat but you can ask if the traffic must came from you website or can come from other places, like ppc and so one..

The point is asking what kind of traffic is allowed, if you have a good relationship with im/here ask if you can write a article on digg or other similar sites and put your affiliate link.

Dont talk about blackhat, just say you think on that and you dont know if convert, ask for they opinion.

With this turn around you wil know what your affiliate manager think about that.

Ask also if they say that traffic is allowed what is the best campaigns to do that

TIP: Never, but never talk about blackhat, just act like if you are a noob.

    i don't need to *act* like a noob, I *am* a noob :D

I'm looking at CJ and some of their affiliates when you click on the more info link have rules like "no buying domains with certain keywords in it" or "no direct email marketing" or whatever. So I was assuming if they DIDN'T specify, then it was good.

But I have no idea how to do the referrer blanking stuff or proxy posting like i hear you have to do for CL so I'm not in any position to start anytime soon, I was just wondering.

just talk with the AM and don´t be afraid.
in the past i made deals with some adult AM´s that they allowed me to upload the stuff from their sites on p2p networks.
just be friendly and ask them.

    greets, darkstar69

be sure to check both the individual offer and the network it's on (if applicable). some networks have blanket policies against certain traffic sources or types.

I just went and told my AM exactly what I was going to do. I thought to myself that it was a very bad idea but it was too late. Surprisingly he got back to me with a bunch of offers and told me that if my traffic quality will start going down he will ask me to stop but he was more than happy with me blackhatting a few offers.

@ mightybh, would you be kindly told us which cpa you are talking about? I'm more than happy to join cpa that allowed blackhat :).
But I'm sure you are an old member on that cpa or maybe you often communicate with AM to make him belive you so much?

No sorry, the last thing I want is a flood of people asking for the same offers I use. And yes, I do speak to my AM all the time.
