    Hi
I know it is better to buy an age domains vs registering a new one. from my research, it seems that godaddy auctions are the best option, but you have to make sure the domain is not "dropped."
but I don't know what that means. What does it mean when a domain is dropped? How do I find out if a domain is dropped before I buy it?

so if it doesn't say anything about drops, then it is safe to buy the domain? is it possible that after I buy, it will get dropped?

If it doesn't mention drops, no, I don't believe it would have had any drops.

Either way, I don't think drops matter. Sites still pass link juice even if they have had drops.

Matt in one of his videos mentioned that it does matter and what I found that domaintools is not always showing if domain was dropped or not, I found some domains that been dropped and it says no drops at domaintools.
Is there any other way to check if domain was dropped ?

    Hi,

First find out where is registered, then on Registers page (example www.godaddy.com) check whois status there you will see status dropped or not.

    Hope i helped .

    Kind regards,
    Nemanja
