How Do I Check Backlinks?

I have brand new sites - I have been running backlinking software for the better part of the day and adding content.

They are being spidered and i think things are progressing - they are less than 24 hours old.

What software/scripts/whatever should I be using to monitor progress and check the status of things?

It has a SEO module that checks the first 10 results for a given keyword in the SERPS. You can add your own domain or URLS as well.
It returns a lot of data including the backlinks.
For these backlinks you can check the PR and the anchor-text.

It has a Ranking Checker module that allows you to track how many pages are indexed and how many backlinks you have.

Google Webmaster tools is pretty good. Yahoo explorer as well
