How do google count back-links?

I just build a site and start submitting articles for it.

I submitted 2 articles two days ago, and I found my site when I search for my site's url today. There are two results.

But I use "link:www.mysitedomain.com" to check backlinks, I found google doesn't count any back links, I need to know why, and how do I get back links from google? how google count back links?

I think this is a good question (except the major impatience thingy), I wouldn't have a clue on what base Google decides to show a link or not.

Just add as well, the link operator by Google is near unless, use Yahoo's site explorer to check backlinks, or type "http://www.yoursite.com" into Google to see a few pages your URI is on.

Ping your backlinks.. this will help them to get indexed faster..

Edit: I recommend http://www.backlinkwatch.com/ to check your backlinks..

The link operator command in google is pretty much dead, it "maybe " shows 1/10 of the actual total, Yahoo is the best for a close count it you check "inlinks"

I read awhile ago a guy mentioning to use (for google)

link: (space) domainname.com , but i cant find that post again to reference it, but that works for showing the url on pages...

It is not in Google's interest to display publicly all of the links it's taking into account regarding a given site. There is a facility on webmaster tools which allows you to view your link profile in more detail.

I also found when google ban a site, yahoo will follow. Just after few days or weeks your site got banned, yahoo will delete your sites info as well as the link info.

How do google count back-links?
