Needless to say when you decide to dabble with some blackhat technique that isn't by the book, the publisher will ban your account immediately after finding out your traffic source isn't authentic and basically misled customers to fill an offer.

My question is: how do they, the CPA network know?

As long as you've spoofed/blanked your traffic, their only way of knowing it would be the customer themselves complaint directly to the network, no?

Or they use 3rd party tool like Ahrefs to spy on your traffic source and it somehow reveals everything?

    What's your opinion?

If your traffic doesn't convert, they will eventually try to find out where it comes from. They can ban your account just by saying your traffic is bad quality. It's not like they need any proof.

Thanks TayaX, but what is your insight on how do they expose the source of traffic?

If you're traffic is cloaked correctly, i'd say they have few chances to find where it comes from. It all comes to either: The footprints you left (address of your sites somewhere, sites on the same server/ip as yours etc etc), or competition that gives you out.
