Has someone written a speculative post about the future of niche-blog link building for marketers.

I have some automation tools like GSA SER and Captcha Sniper but, the big shots say they are dead. If they are dead what is a budget blog like mine to do. So far my blog has produced less then $200 in Adsense income. It has also sold a few Amazon books. As blogs go, it is a dead beat.

What do you think the future looks like for new niche bloggers.

I'm also in a terrible niche. Addiction. I chase long tail keywords because the big boys like the Mayo clinic and all the .gov sites dominate.

I blog because I want to make money. I write about addiction because I know about it an Google pays top dollar for adwords clicks.

What do you folks think my link-building efforts should look like?

No its not dead. GSA along with captcha sniper certainly works. I personally use it to blast the tier 1. You can build Web 2.0s to your blog post or whatever quality links like guest posting etc then run GSA on them. They will get stronger in time and you will see the rise. I say that because I have tested it. The basic rule of SEO is "Do not believe anyone unless you have tested it yourself"

And you niche isn't terrible. Addiction niche is broad and is pretty good considering you know how to monetize it. You can try out clickbank for that. Adsense isn't the right thing for this niche. Try to find some long tails and write articles on them. It will take some time because blog takes time to mature but once its matured enough money will keep flowing in
