I just noticed today that a pretty recent blogger blog of mine was just removed as it was detected as spam by their automated system, but I don't know how. The only times I have had this happen to blogger blogs was when I added script to them like certain locker scripts, but this one had non of that. While so far there was only one post on this blog, this blog had a 1,200+ word article with lots of pictures and the blog was design pretty decent, I mean you could tell there was work put into it.

So can anyone think of other ways there system decides on what is spam and what's not? I did start backlinking the blog a week back, but do they really scan backlinks like that for spam? I have had bloggers in the past that had tons and tons of spam links and never get removed, and mine was not like that.

I should also note that when I went to log into this blogger account today, it made me phone verify before login, it said it had detected unusual activity recently, so did that have something to do with it? The thing is maybe the blog getting detected as spam counts as unusual activity idk. Any help?

How many links were pointed to your blogger ?
It could be the content of your blog , if anyone reported it .

several thousand links, yeah the content is kind of iffy, but it was far from spammy. I have many other just like this one even way worse and nothing ever happened to them and of course I see millions on blogger blogs on Google which are just straight spam and they are there? Also I have a couple other tests blogs that were spammed with 30k links and they are still there. I had a blog that was about 3.5 months old then about 2 weeks ago I decided to check something so I went to log in and it gave me the message that "odd activity was found" so it made me verify the account and then wham one of the blogs was removed for spam. Could there be a link here?

I always loved blogger because basically blogs would never get removed unless you put some intrusive script on there, which I never did once I learned this lesson. So what other web2.0s out there should I maybe move on to, that rank similar to blogger? Should I try wordpress.com ?

You should get your own domain and at least shared server. Cost would be much lesser than building X backlinks over Y amount of time just to find out that blog is removed at the end.
