I have made tons of shortcuts for my IM plus rocket dock to quickly access things.

As usual just when I get into a nice groove windows starts screwing up random shit throwing me errors left and right and freezing my browsers etc.

So it's time for another windows wipe however it's taken me a cpl months to build a nice streamlined(ish) shortcut system. So how could I keep those for my next install?

It's only shortcuts and rocket dock really plus maybe a cpl other minor things. Not really programs as they are all on VPS.

I know nothing about rocket dock...but favorites are super easy to back up and restore.

They are simply HTML files in your user/favorites directory. Drag and drop those onto a flash drive and the restore to the same folder after reload.

I wasn't actually talking about favourites for explorer or whatever. I mean desktop shortcuts.

Hmm maybe i could just try copy and pasting the whole folder into my other HD. Worth a try I guess presuming the shortcuts will still have the same root after which most should as they are naviagiating to the drive im not hgonna touch mostly I believe.

try this:
