My keyword has recently went from #9 to #3 on page 1 of google, I have verified on a few computers and keyword tools. But it still shows #9 on my PC even though rankings changed 5-6 days ago.

It seems even after I clear cookies, rankings aren't updating for me. How to update it on my PC? It seems clearing cookies doesn't do it.

Yes, log out of your google account then click on the gear in the right hand corner, click on the web history and then click on 'Disable customizations based on search activity.' Also change your location to 'USA'

There are super cookies nowadays that you can't get rid of by just clearing your cookies. The best way to find the true rankings is to use private browsing on a different network (i.e. different IP).

guys, there are two things at play here - the google+ personalized results as well as the location of your ip address. Even going through private browsing will not change your IP and if you are checking keywords on a site with a real address (brick and mortar) then you will see those results better in the serps than from a different ip. I use vps all over the country and just manually check from time to time. I believe rankerizer and traffic travis all just use and parse your local browser results so they are wrong for this type of search where your ip factors into the search results ... you can google our favorite Matt from google and he has a video on this
