How can you tell if your CPA network is "shaving" or screwing you? any newrecommendations?

Hey guys, I'm a bit new to CPA.. but not to Internet Marketing overall.
I'd like join a legit CPA network so I can learn (I have a growing audience), but I don't want to get started on the 'wrong foot' and join a network that screws its publishers.

how can you detect shaving?
it is just an assumption most of the time?

through my searches on BHW, I'm found good feedback on the following network and signed up for them-
MGCash
Dollerade
Limelight (just found out they seem to shave)
Peerfly (there cell phone verification is broken)
and a few others

any words of wisdom for me? Thank you in advance.

Also they cheat you out of referral comissions if you would make "too much". At least two does it that i know of.

I would tend to agree. My experience is that the more 'reputable' and difficult it is to sign up for a CPA network the less likely they're going to burn you. Forget companies like ClickBank where anyone can sign up - companies like these burn you all the time.
 
The easiest way to track shaving when you have many accounts on the different networks which have the same offers. Just take the same offer from another network and see how conversion ratio changes.
 
All networks shave in one way or another, sending 50/50 traffic to two different networks today, one showed 1600 clicks, while the other one showed me 2400, landing pages very identical, same traffic source absolutely impossible for that big of a difference, guess what? First one pays more than the second network. Higher payout in exchange for higher shave rate, while lower payout, less shaving... take your pick either way you are guaranteed some shaving

thanks for telling about shaving leads.my doubt regarding shaving leads finally cleared from your answer.recently one of the top network shaved my leads.
 
i have noticed maxbounty and peerfly have been shaving me hard the last week or so
 
In my experience they all seem to shave, just run campaigns for networks that are less likely to shave like peerfly, affiliate, limelightcpa.
 
What really pisses me off is when the shaving is so bad that one day you get 10 sales the next you get zero. My CPA is shaving me to the tune of over 2k this month. Im down 2.5k compared to previous months. I dont believe for one minute that people are not buying. I do believe my CPA is shaving me to the max.
 
Join cp.atank .. they seriously don't shave. Its tough to get from what i hear now in day. Luckily i was one of there first affiliates. Vito is seriously awesome.. try and get in touch.
 
Yes they all shave but what I do is find the same/smilar ads and rotate them so if I run free ipad on "XX" one month i run free ipad on "YY" another months with the same traffic its not hard to tell which network is doing what. And also most times its the merchant that is rejecting the traffic and not wanting to pay and if its a big merchant that the network has then screw the publisher. Thats just be name of the game.
