    Like the title says...

For example, let's say I wanted to find out all the people who have purchased "dog training" domains in the last 60 days, how would you go about it? Thanks.

not sure if it is possible, especially if they have used private registration for the domain. The easiest way to find out who owns a particular domain is by doing a whois search, but even then you aren't guaranteed to know who the actual owner is.

I am curious though - why would you want this info?

OP is looking for a list of newly regged domains by keyword, not the owners I assume. Good question, I'm interested as well.

Exactly. I know how to find the owners if there is a certain domain we are targeting.

I'm looking for the newly purchased domains, the whois I can find.

The reason is simple. I'm the doctor/surgeon guy when it comes to SEO and offline marketing. Our best web designer bought a domain for the client in the form of drjoeblowmd.com. About 2 weeks later, the doctor got an email from a rival firm that he had noticed the doctor hadn't developed the domain but obviously had planned to.

I don't know how but this guy has obviously found a great tool for finding domains. The site isn't built yet so he didn't find it in Google. Other than finding a public list of purchased domains and filtering them by domains with "dr" or "md" in the URL, I have no idea how he might have found that. It's clearly an untapped marketing resource and I want to use it as well. I just don't know where to find that information.

    Help is appreciated. :)

I would be interested in find this out as well - I have found a competitor of one of my clients who is going around snatching up twitter accounts using the other companies names. One account was set-up only a day after the domain was registered. Don't know if they were just lucky or whether they have a way of watching new registrations.

Hello all. I am bumping this for people looking for a similar solution.

I have been searching, and have not found one so, I'm going to make one :)

It'll be a perl script that'll rely on the whois command.

I will be building a database of non-existent domains.
After this is built, the script will keep checking back on these domains periodically to see if they've been purchased.
If the owners have their contact information available, it will provide it for you.

    More details after completion.

This will be shared with BHW free, as my way of finally giving back.

FYI, because of WHOIS query limits and my relatively small pool of proxies, this will take quite some time to build the initial database.

I'll also be making it so that the users will be able to generate their own DB only for domains matching specific keywords.

Finally, while my aim here is to give back, I only have so much time.
This will be a command-line script intended for use on Linux but should work on Windows with the correct tools installed.
It always takes me longer to design a GUI than the actual code so ...

I'm not sure if someone already answered but you can scrape these with "registration date" "date added" footprints.

It will not be every single domain. Shit like avwif7e6rck374.com would serve no purpose.
I'm basically going to make it function like this:
    perl NewDomainFinder.pl KEYWORD_FILE COMMA_SEPARATED_DOMAIN_EXTENSIONS

With this, it will generate every possible domain that contains all of the words in keyword file ending in the extensions specified in the command line.

It will check to see which ones are not currently owned and then keep checking back.
When it finds contact information, it will save it in a folder residing in the script's directory.

Myself, I intend to build as big of a database as possible for many many many keywords :D

If you're wanting to see only domains purchased today, registered.today gives the list. You can search by keyword too.

This must be the funniest posts I have read in a while

BUT on a more serious note, did you ever share the database?
