i have a question... when using google keyword tool
if you do exact search that means the people search using ""
say exact monthly search for exercise bands is 3,000
does that mean people searched this way "exercise bands" as opposed to just exercise bands ?

I think that when you search in quotes Google displays searches that your keyword has in the title, etc. Meaning that those are your competition, if you didn't search with quotes the results could be from sites that aren't really related to your keyword, it just happens to be used on their page.

I am not 100% sure though maybe someone else could comment on this?

You could always go to go0gle and do a search for the keyword.

I have a checker here:

but haven't updated it in a long time so I don't know if it still works.

Exact means when people type the keyphrase exactly: exercise bands- with or without quotes.

pbm phrase broad match and pm phrase match. Yes first one should be not in quotes "the second one should be" . In adwords estimator you will pretty much learn. about the results of google search engine that doesnt include bing or yahoo. and one more thing its market share is around 81 % i think
