I'm getting a guest post on a website with a PR5. The site has 20 links pointing to it and 0 re-directs from other domains (looked at Ahrefs). I checked and the PR is valid. I looked into WHOIS data and the website domain was only created since Feb. How the HELL can you get a PR5 domain on a 2 month site? I looked at the posts and they go back to 2011. Any thoughts as to whats going on here?

    It's probably an expired domain.

It's extremely easy to manipulate the post date. It might also be someone who uses the content that the domain previously had. Use the wayback machine to take a look at it.

Looked into the way back machine and it was an empty WordPress website 2 months ago! Which was what I thought. Guess it was an expired high PR domain the guy bought and back dated all the content. Sneaky!

That's totally possible. I saw one case study on another forum that made a jump from PR n/a to PR 4 in 5 months using nothing but a basic Cutts approved good content + guest posting strategy. It's the quality of the links.
