    Hello everyone!

I'm newbie in matters of "copyright infringement" and related problems. So I need an advise from someone with experience. I have a complex question, so I'll be grateful for answering at least some parts of it.

    Here's how my site works:
    1) I'm taking images from random free adult websites.
    2) Then I'm adding a bit of "programming magic". Images becomes interactive, so people can play with them. It's kind of online erotic game.
    3) Images size is about 500 x 700 pixels. Images doesn't have watermarks (most of the images are cropped).
    4) Users are not allowed to copy or download images directly from site. They can only play with it online.
    5) It is a commercial site (paid access).

So, the main question is: should I really worry about possible copyright infringement issues with such kind of website? And if so, how can I get around this obstacle?

    In details:

    1) First of all, could it be done to a certain extent "legally", without takedown complaints headache, etc?

I mean, there are so many free porn sites. How does it work? Why they are not touched by copyright owners? Are those free sites participating affiliate programs? Or they are ok until they have links to the original paid sites (kinda teasers)? But that's about free sites...

What are the chances that my site will be not touched? Or that I'll get permission from copyright owners (if i'll display links to the original paid sites or something like that)? Eventually, I'm not reselling those images in original resolution. I'm just showing people pictures, which they can see on any free site anyway. In my country, it is not a big crime, but what about US? EU?

Technically I can even load images directly from those free sites. Does it makes any difference?

    2) If first option fails, then maybe I should make it like a site with user-generated content? Should I really make it fully functional (allow users to upload images, etc) or I it can only looks like that (without real users being involved)? But event in this case ignoring DMCA-complaints is risky?

    3) If I don't want to take down images, should I necessary go to offshore DMCA-ignored hosting provider and domain registrant? Would it be 100% safe to ignore takedown complaints?

By the way, I'm not living in the US. So I'm not really concerned about being sued. I just don't want my domain being taken down.

Thank you if you've read so far! :) I would be really appreciated for any help or thoughts on this subject.

Hmm i am also living in country that not care about copyrights too much, but I know from the articles about torrent trackers that if the content is not on your server then it is not that big problem, also if it is user generated content you can add section in your site or game or application where copyrights owners can ask to take down a current image :) This is only my opinion

You have to check if the photos are royalty free or free. If they can be used without any interdiction you could download and use them but be very careful that they are not stock images because those have an embedded data that makes traceable so you could have problems. Generally you can find packs of this kind of pictures you are talking about on various free download sites and even on the said adult webpages.
