I have a niche blog that converts decently, but I'm having problems driving traffic to it. I was wondering if I just consistently made tweets with hashtags that are relevant to the niche, would that drive traffic?

    1.["#blogname"]

    2. Tweet #blogname

    "thanks me up! +1"

post relevant content links and add hashtag at the end. also it has been proven if you add "Please Retweet" to the end of your tweet it will get retweeted more. Even more than just doing "Please RT"

So I don't need to include my blog name in my tweets? I just post relevant content links and add a hashtag relevant to my niche?

    Here is what I do.

Say you are targeting the iPod niche and wrote an article on how to hack the iPod.

    Tweet:
Free iPod hacks you must try! addurlhere #ipod #ipodtricks #ipodhacks

I added a few hashtags at the end so that people who are following them will see my post. You have to find the right hashtags to put there. I just made those up.

Thanks for this. What are some other simple techniques you use to get more traffic to your blog? I'm looking for techniques where consistency prevails over new content.

I use software, its bit expensive tho if you don't have plan to monetize it. Also this one doesn't target specific hashtags, just most popular which are used and seen by a lot of people.

I also target individuals in my tweets sometimes. I'll use tweet deck to monitor a hashtag and then reply to a certain person telling them i liked their post or comment about it. then they write back to me. then i say check out a post on my blog that they may be interested. that's better received then just saying look at my blog. first you gotta bait them.

It depends on the category. If you are tweeting nose hair pluckers you arent going to get traffic even if you put a hashtag.

You are really trying to get people who use the search box and get ppl who are interested in your category as followers.

If your category is too popular, your tweet scrolls to the bottom faster than those that are not that actively discussed.

So "iphone"/#iphone tweets dont stick to the search result top for long as opposed to something like "cat litter"/#catlitter. Your headline also has to be a call to action, not droll.

    Example:
Which cat litter is the best? #catlitter
    versus
My cat knows which cat litter to squat in! #catlitter

good tip Hat. just make sure to include your URL link back in the tweet and add the hashtag at the end.
