I am hosting this PDF file and I want to track the numbef of downloads that it gets. I am not using wordpress so I can not use any wordpress plug ins.
And I also dont want to use mediafire or anything like that.

And one more thing, is there a way that visitors can only download my .PDF file to their desktop instead of it loading in their browser?

I don't want to ask them to right click and save as. And I also dont want to package it in a .rar file or similar.

So I'm probably going to need some download manager.
    Any suggestions?
