I used to sell on ebay back in 2004-2006 using a drop shipping method with a distributor. Back then every time I made a sale I would log into my paypal account to find their address and ship their products. I used the upc code, a shipping code and their address and upload it onto my distributors server for the order to get shipping.

In 2013 I am looking to get back into selling on ebay and maybe amazon in the future. But what I need to know is how do big companies on ebay sell 1000's of products? I know they can't have someone doing what I did in 2006 to process orders. I have been looking at oscommerce, auctionblox, vendio and frooition and its all very complicated to process.

An example on ebay I saw a store called: http://stores.ebay.com/MovieMars and they have well over 300,000 products listed. What internal systems do they use to process all these orders on ebay? I specifically need to understand how I can get the buyers address, shipping code, product upc without me doing it manually from paypal. Basically how can I produce files/associate ebay listings with upc codes and have a file ready to download?

Right now I can start selling items by listing them using Turbo Lister like I did in the past but I am looking for a hands-off method. Thanks for any help.

I would suggest doing the initial set-up on your own then, hire someone on oDesk or something similar to do the administrative work, and keeping everything up to date.

Thanks for the reply but everything other than that part is easy. When I pointed out those companies I thought 1 or 2 would be doing what I asked but I guess not?

What I need is a program that lists my products on ebay but also knows when payment has been sent to paypal. So lets say at the end of the day I would simple download a report in my distributors format and upload it to their servers.

oDesk was something I thought about but since its 2012 I just assumed a program was around that had my requirements. Anyone else with any insights on selling in bulk on ebay? Thanks.

If you open an ebay store you can bulk upload a csv file of your products.

In your store you will have selling manager pro which shows you in real time every thing thats getting bought and paid for.

You can view all the info you need in the store and you can download whatever you want...again in a csv file.

I tend to download the days sales at one time every evening and send the spreadsheet to my supplier(spreadsheet contains all the info they need)but I could do it several times a day if my products needed urgent shipping or if I had several different suppliers.

Search "auction software review" on google. Should be the top link. Pretty much every software programme that you can use on ebay will be listed and users have reviewed many which will help you pick the best ones.
