I was checking some guy's channel and he gets on average 200-300 views per video, then one randomly gets 37k.

    Here it is:

some other ways to make educated guesses about this:

    1) Do a search for "A814AN_Dk8Q" in quotes and see where the video is linked/embedded. Check alexa rank for those pages/sites.
    2) If the video has public stats, look for spikes that relate to pages you found in #1 (for example, being featured in an popular blog on a certain date can be matched with a spike in views on that date in the public stats).
    2) Go to the video in question and look at the "related videos" on the right side. Click on any that have large view numbers and see if A814AN_Dk8Q is listed as a related video. If it is, it is possible a lot of traffic is coming from high traffic related videos.
    3) look in the comments for clues. For example, someone in this video's comment stream mentioned "I saw the advert..." maybe they're driving views by simply paid placement in youtube?

No, I'm just wondering why the video got views, and someone said they saw it in an advert. I tried to check backlinks to the video on Ahrefs, but none have been indexed yet.

That's why I made this thread.
