    Hey guys-

Let's say someone has a membership site with video tutorials in it. The videos are not embedded or hosted on Youtube or Vimeo or any other video site. They are hosting on the membership site.

Is there a program I can use to download the videos to my PC? There are programs to download Youtube vids but that's not what I want.

    Thanks!

as pastilan said - to minimise stuffing around, and for a solution guaranteed to work use a screen recorder

Use a video downloader plugin in your browser. They are pretty easy to operate - once the video starts to buffer, click the download button and stop playing the original.. so you don't have to download the whole thing twice. Works like a charm for 99% of videos..

There are many components for firefox and chrome to download video from any page.

    An example
    Code:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

I've used Download Helper for years for Firefox and it works really well. So that could be a backup for you.

I use the Citrio browser for that. I'm too lazy to mess around with extensions and seperate apps, so I've found this browser and now I'm doing everything through that.

Scans your cache for flash files. Process, manually save the larger files found. Takes a bit of experience to know the software but it is pretty straight forward and really a good program.

Otherwise view page source and try to find the swf file. There are some flash streamers that won't really work easily with that.
But the fact of the matter is, in order to watch said video, it has to be sent to your computer. ;)

There's a plug-in for Firefox called Down Them All which will probably do what you want.
