How can I rip a site

Im thinking about making a downloads.com clone, but im not really sure how about going about that.

How can I rip the site, basically get all the programs they have an place them on my clone site?

any ideas

Did you try the WinHT**Track Website Cop**ier ??
Its free... You can download a whole site to your pc and mess with the code and reupload to your server!
I am not sure if you can get the programs ..but basically it downloads all the site files .html, .asp , etc etc..!
Try how it goes and let us know!

Hahahaha. That was hilarious. On a serious note WinHTTRACK is a good program for downloading web sites in their entirety.
