I have a blog that is based around a variety of topics, or trends if you will. Anyways, I am ranking #1 on google images for a certain Vanessa Hudgens key phrase. I get a lot of visitors for this keyword, however it's not very consistent. One week I'll get slammed with traffic from it and then the next it'll cut in half. Been doing this for 6 months or so.

I need to figure out a way to monetize this page cause right now adsense isn't cutting it very well at all. I'd like to keep adsense so I have to stay within a certain boundary as far as what I can or can't do. I think my placement is good, so not sure what's going on.

Here's how awstats looks so far for June.

90% + is from this keyword.

    My questions are.

    1. If I decide to change up my ad placements, is there a chance I'll lose my position in google?

    2. Are dating offers safe to run along side of adsense?

    3. Should I just cut adsense out all together and try a bunch of CPA offers?

Changing your ad placements will not effect your ranking in the search engine. It's the backlinks that get you there....and it's the backlinks that will keep you there. :) Experiment with the AdSense, definitely. I do this a lot to see how well I can monetize my traffic. :)

Dating offers are definitely safe to run along side of AdSense. Some offers convert better than others in the dating niche, so it's likely that you'll have to test out those in addition to playinhg with the adsense colors/formats/sizes.

If I were you I would try a cpa offer for wallpaper or screensavers considering that you're already ranking for pictures....the key in any online marketing is to give the visitor a GLIMPSE of what they're looking for, and then market a product/service/download that will actually GIVE them what they're looking for. Make sense?
