I'm planning on starting a cannabis-related blog and since I live in Toronto and it's all legal here, I can visit a few stores and post reviews too.

But my query is, how do I monetize it?

There are many ways to monetize a cannabis-related blog. One way is to join affiliate programs offered by companies that sell cannabis products. As an affiliate, you earn a commission on every sale that you generate. Another way to monetize your blog is to build an email list of subscribers who are interested in receiving information about new products and promotions. You can also monetize your blog by selling sponsored content, or by offering premium content that people have to pay to access.

I would suggest that you look at your main competitors and pay attention to the affiliate products that they are promoting.

I'm talking about ebooks or some other digital product.

I'm not talking about affiliate physical products.

Once you have identified the common ebooks that they promote, come up with your own version.

I really can't emphasize this enough.

If you want to make money with your online traffic, you have to create your own products.

It's fine to start with affiliate products first.

But as your traffic matures and as you build a solid community around your content, you need to step up and offer your own products.

Why?

Well, when you offer your own products, you are in control of the sales page.

You are also in control of the quality of the final product.

These two factors alone make offering your own products worthwhile.

How come?

Well, the typical affiliate program product out there is a crapshoot!

You don't know if the people behind the product know how to sell.

It doesn't get any more basic than that.

Maybe the reason why your conversion rate is so low is that they have a crappy sales page.

Maybe their product gets so many refunds that it's not worth promoting.

You can get rid of all these and related headaches by offering your own products.

Monetization is easy, hard part is traffic. Cbd is a saturated niche and very expansive. Its also one of the most spammed niche. One step wrong and you could loose time and money. Good luck!

Guest post. High demand for CBD and related niches.

This is way better than affiliates. Affiliate will give you a fraction of the revenue compared to getting in touch with the companies directly through LinkedIn and offering a guest post. It willhelp them sell products and SEO, and you get paid for both, while doing only what you are already doing.

make honest and good reviews of products and list them out on a big piece of content with unique content, small videos could be nice.

Join some affiliate networks, do dropshipping or run Display ads and Popads.

Promote some affiliate products or sell some cannabis related products. This is what I have done with one of my cannabis domains.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you make from those?

The affiliate products only a few hundred per month to a few thousand during peak times like christmas , 420, etc. However I dont do as much of this as I used to do as I have attempted now to build more of my own branded products. My personal branded products make a few thousand. The issue I have run into is scaling. Since this niche is not accepted for paid advertising through the popular advertising sites like google, facebook, IG, etc..

Oh, so you cant run cannabis-related ads on Meta either, even if it's legal in that region?
