    When ever I put up a new theme on one of my sites
    Before I make any posts or anything
    I check it out with
    Code:
    http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/text-link-tool.htm
    I am not very technical savvy, So There is a guy on Fiverr who I get to clean the theme for me.

    Not sure If I am allowed to post his username here, but if anybody wants it
    just PM me

    Would be even better if somebody could give us a link to a tutorial to clean themes

    Home Page:
    go to your page and look at the source code. copy the footer div sector to your footer.php file. This gives you the code you need to finish the footer section, and lets you edit out the parts you dont want.

    this has worked on the sites I've tried it on.

    theres a way to do it even if the footer is obfuscated.

    this is what you do

    open index.php

    look for this :

    PHP:
    <?php get_footer(); ?>
    add a comment above and below it so this is what you get

    HTML:
    <!-- start footer -->
    <?php get_footer(); ?>
    <!-- end footer -->

    save and go to your blog

    view source

    find the comments

    copy EVERYTHING between your start and end comments

    delete your footer.php

    create a new footer.php and replace the code with everything that was between your comments.

    edit to suit yourself, remove links etc and save.

    then click thanks to the right of this post ;-)
