Hey guys hoping to get some information and help, I've had a blog going for almost 3 years now, I maintain it sporadically cause i work 40 hrs a week, but it has a ton of content. Im hoping there is a way to monetize this site as its been 3 years on and off now. I dont get much traffic at all, maybe average 150 visitors a day but I dont really push it very hard either. I really need this thing to start paying dividends, I've put a ton of work into over the years and would like to see something positive come of it.

the website is an informational site for people visiting Vegas, it has info on night clubs, strip clubs, pool parties, escorts, swingers and anything else you can think of. BUT I NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE MONEY.

    SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

also heads up, I cannot message anyone as I am new to the forum, thanks in advance for your help.

There are many ways, one way you could try is to sell ad space on your blog. Or you could write sponsored posts recommending a particular place to visit. You'll have to contact the businesses though.

Do a live stream in casinos where underage kids can push paypal credits to your account in exchange for video pokie time. They can pay you $1.75 for every $1 you put in and keep 80% of the winning, if there are winnings. You might get arrested for breaking laws, but who cares, you could make hundreds of dollars and beat CEO Sams monthly income.

First and foremost, you should probably work on getting more traffic to that site...150 UV/day isn't very high, especially in that niche.

If you get large enough UVs on a monthly basis though, you can start contacting casinos/hotels/whatever in Vegas and start selling ad space, feature them, etc.

I think your right, I really need to increase traffic to several thousand UV a day, I guess thats the hard part.

to increase my traffic, im looking at old fashioned SEO and advertising? Any recommendations where to advertise and get the most bang for my buck.

Search for "competitor" websites, sites similar to yours, and see how they're monetizing.

9 out of 10 chances it's an ad network that accepts adult ads.

    Hey,

From what you've described, I believe there's a lot of potential for you to make a lot money.

Here is a rough outline of what you could do.

First, define your target audience. Just off the top of my head, I'd say your target demo would be male, single, 21-35, has a good amount of money to spend, interested in a Vegas vacation, and likes partying.

That's a pretty easy audience to find through Facebook advertising.

Next, you need to create an auto responder series to send out to an email list that you will build through Facebook ads. In your email series you will basically act as the ultimate tour guide. Since you've been writing about Vegas for 3 years, you know WAY more than the average travel guide, and can deliver incredible value to your email list via pictures and videos, along with the tips about the best "this and that."

To get people to opt-in to your list on your landing page, you could offer a "sneak peek" or sampler package of what's to come in your email series.

In case you're unfamiliar with (real) list building, the point of all this is to establish trust and authority with your email list by providing unparalleled value. Like I said, since you've been writing about Vegas for 3 years, this should be no problem for you.

Once you've established the trust and authority, you can then upsell them on vacation packages you've personally designed -- similar to how a travel agency would do it. Except you have the advantage of being a regular, trust-worthy Joe who knows the area inside and out. So your package can include awesome hotels, restaurants, strip clubs, exclusive parties, and escorts the average tourist never discovers. And (again, like a travel agent), you'd take care of booking the rooms, reserving spots/tables, escort scheduling, etc.

So, anyone who gets your package basically gets an insane Vegas vacation that's all perfectly laid out for them. As far as availability, you could offer the package(s) to the first 5-20 people every couple of months using pre-sell emails to build up for the "launch." As far as prices, let's say it costs $1k to cover the cost of everything, then your package price would be at least $2k. It's an easy sell if you've built your list properly.

There's a TON of twists/alterations you could make, but the above is a basic foundation for what a real online business could look like. As with any business, it will require a lot of work on your part, but if you want to take this from hobby to six-figure income, then this is the "easiest" way to do it.

Wow, lots of good information in this post, I really appreciate the advice, and all sounds very doable, albeit, with hard work. I have to admit, i've wanted to do something very similar but never thought of it quite the same way you described.

Do you have experience with this type of email campaign? I'ma have to give this some serious thought, very interested.

Yes, I build value-based email lists, but as far as your specific niche and product type, no, I don't have any experience in that. That's why I tried to present it as a rough outline of how you could approach this. You know your target audience better than I ever could, so I'm sure if you put in the work you'll be able to refine my suggestions so they work best for you and your audience.

But first off, I suggest you start researching email marketing and list building. There are a few approaches to email marketing, but with regards to my outline above, you'll want to focus on the kind of email marketing that seeks to build a relationship with your subscribers and provide value. There are some prominent marketers in this space that I'm sure you'll come across once you start reading up on it here and other places like Warrior Forum, etc.

Try selling ad space of the companies when big enough
