I have an mp3 search engine and download website that is getting about 5,000 unique visitors a day and growing. The traffic is from all around the world, but the majority from the US. What would be a good way to monetize this site since the niche is so large, its all kinds of people and interests.

i agree. If you have a google adsense, definitely capitalize on the amount of traffic you're getting and score some ad revenue.

In addition, I'd probably also start a mailing list to start capturing the names/emails of your visitors who are truly interested in mp3/multimedia downloads.

Then you could blast an email to the list telling them about other file-sharing/download sites that are out there that have an affiliate program for you to promote.

That way, when those people sign up for these additional sites, and pay them...you can score some extra money for yourself.

use a cpalead forced gateway.that would be best.but do this for like one day or so otherwise ur regular users will leave the site.
then repeat this after like 20 days.
I have tried this and it works.
and in the mean time but adsense and cpm ads atleast four to five so that you average atleast 3 to 4$/1000 views.

Some cpa offers for sure that are music related, maybe some free music toolbars or something, celebrity toolbars etc. I'm sure you can make some decent money off of that if your having 5000 uniques per day, maybe even some zip/email submits for Iphone, better mp3 player.

It is against Adsense TOS to put ads on this site. I am not a big fan of adbrite so i will probably stay away from them.

I was looking at CPALead forced gateway today, it might be worth doing it a couple times a month like you said, it will definitely piss people off though.

CPM ads are not worth enough money to me to put them on the site.

Anyone have any CPA offers that are converting well right now?

You could put up an under construction page once in a while and have links to your "sister site" which is really one of those file sharing networks you can sell on clickbank. I would anyway, just to see how well it works.. Ive seen it done, just never tried myself.

Why not ringtones? Seems like a perfect match for me. You might have to launder your traffic before sending it through depending on your particular situation.

Look for what people are downloading and have banner ads of the related downloads which can be your own product or affiliate program if you can't create a product. Try to get a toolbar developed for your site for downloading purpose along with Good CPA offers $5-10.

Later on you can earn from your tool bar. Try to convert traffic for Higher $ amounts. This way you can generate a good amount of money for a longer period of time. Think "BIG"
If need help you can ask the members out here i'm sure they'll help you.
