Okay so I'm dutch and sometimes when I enter a english word or sentence in google, I'll get dutch results aswell. My websites are english and it isn't usefull when I want too build a niche site. I can't check the competition in this way.

Does anybody know how I can make google show US results, without a proxy? Or any other simple way?

well I think you use this this lil bit of code (global locator) for other countries...you type in you search query as usual and add &gl=uk (for uk of course).
Try this link http://www.sharingmyopinion.com/2009/05/googles-country-specific-domains.html

I dunno if this helps or not

Thanks allot! It works. When I would use google.us, it would change too google.nl. (the TLD for the Netherlands)

But when I visit google.co.vi is from the Virgin Islands, it doesn't go back to .nl and it shows English results only.

You could also try google global addon for firefox.
