I want to sell a service on this forum. I wish to limit the number of orders to 10 per day. After the limit has been reached, no more orders can be placed until the next day.

Is there any way to implement such a system with PayPal?

All responses will be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

I would say, make a order form and redirect them to paypal. If you do that, you will have control on who goes through, and possibly can buffer the orders too ;)

I don't want this to be considered as "preselling", but I am intending to offer an article creation service. I wish to ensure that I can actually finish all the work. I'll be the only one writing, so it isn't possible for me to write a large number of articles.

Paypal should be able to limit your orders through their payment form.

In the meantime, hire someone you know who can write quality articles.

There's nothing wrong with scaling just as long as the quality stays the same.

Giving a longer TAT would be better. You don't loose money that way. As long as you keep your clients happy you are good to go.

You can also use wufoo and limit the amount of forms filled out.

I'll check to see if it's just form fill outs, or if you can limit it to paid fill outs.

You can do this through Paypal.

There's a setting when creating the payment button that allows you to limit the number of items sold.

I think it's called "Inventory Management" or something similar.

Good luck with your venture :)

    I don't know anyone. I guess that's a problem.

    Thanks for the information.

Thanks. I will check their website.

Let the visitors go through a page in your site, which keep tracks of the orders, and redirect the user to another page if the no. of orders for the day is already met. Thats the best way. Paypal IPN will report you when a payment is successful, so you arent counting the visitors, but the actual sales.
