    On one of my web sites I have a page that got indexed by google. I have removed the page but it is still indexed in Google search. What is the fastest way to get Google to realize the page isnt there anymore so it gets removed from search? Is there anything I can do to make it happen within a day?

    Try both:

    A) Ask them to remove it directly through your google webmaster tools account.

    B) Update your robots.txt file to exlude indexing of that particular page and then just ping your site and the page in question so it gets crawled again.

    Also, try posting the link on Google+ that will get it crawled very fast.

    If you add the page to the robots.txt its stopping the page being crawled. It will remove the title and description of the page, but it will still appear in the SERPS, just in the omitted results.

    If you want to remove it you should add the robots 'noindex' meta tag in the head section of the pages source code.,; or via WMT like you said.

    The absolute best way to command an immediate crawl is to use this deeply buried Google webmaster tool

    You need to login to your Google account for access.

    Go here:
    https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/googlebot-fetch

    SELECT WEBSITE

    CLICK on SITE HEALTH on left hand menu.

    SELECT "Fetch as Google"

    Fill in the fields, the rest is self-explanatory.

    ===================

    I told you it's well hidden, but you'll get a crawl-on-command.
