Honestly lost in trying to estimate potential earnings. I have a sex stories site which I am not currently monetising.

I would like to know a rough estimate of how much the site would earn if it was gaining 300k in search traffic/month, for different types of monetisation.

I have no idea how I should start doing this. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

WTF??? Monetise the website and you'll know exactly how much you can make. Why would you want to estimate the earnings after you've already started the project?

Settle down, it was theoretical, I do not actually own one yet. I am just trying to gain a well-rounded perspective on the potential gains/traffic requirements before I dive in head first.

It varies too much to give you a good estimate. Find a few programs you're interested in and then take the PPM they offer and multiply that by the traffic you think you can get.

    Example: $2/1,000 pageviews x 300,000 pageviews/month = $600/month.

story websites get great se traffic. The problem with monetization is the traffic will bleed out once you place banners and affiliate links on your site. My suggestion would be to sell yearly, contextual hardlinks inside a story. I guess you could sell one or two links per story at 25 bucks each. However, you would need to be picky in what links you accept. Avoid posting links with spammy anchors.

or you just need to think about other/better monetization than just using plugrush, exoclick who pays peanuts for your traffic
