I'm making a website for streaming niche gaming events weekly. There are currently 5-10 other sites that stream these events (not legally). I want to embed these streams on one site to allow users to flick between channels, and I'm adding some other features to make it more interesting (chat box, polls, etc.).

Does anyone know how to embed other peoples streams without the embed codes and stuff? Just using iFrame to embed seems kinda rubbishy. Obviously I could screen capture and then re-stream via a different streaming service.. But is there some way I'm missing?

If they do not offer an embed code then your largest problem might be copyright infringement.

But they're already streaming them illegally anyway ;)

Hmm okay so I can just look at the page source and copy-paste the embed code??

True. But when the original author is cracking down they will follow it to them and then right to you. I am not saying do not
do it. I am just saying protect yourself with stuff like offshore hosting and anonymous set up. :)

RSS feeds if the site offers it.
