My current download speed in home connection is 60kbps and VPS speed is 100mbps. Is there anyway to transfer files from VPS to PC with the good speed ?

You need to get better connection at your home.
Your VPS's ISP speed may be 100 Mb/ps but from copying from VPS to your pc , the speed of your home connection(60kb/ps) will be used.

If your maximum download speed is 60kbps then unfortunately that's what it is. You won't be able to get more bandwidth than your home ISP allows you. If your vps is expiring and you don't have the time to wait until it is downloaded diretly from your vps I suggest you split your 8GB file into 1GB RAR files and upload them to mega.co.nz or some other file host. You'll have all the time you need to download it from there.

You can't do much. Just upload the data on mega.co.nz or dropbox, and then slowly download the data on your home pc, if you need them.

If that is the correct speed then it sounds like a dial up modem and will take weeks to finish. You can't find a high speed connection somewhere and bring a thumb drive?

Assuming that you have not compressed the data on your VPS, compress it. Zip it up, or use tar. While it will not speed your download, it will make it appear to be faster because the data is compressed.

You should, however, get a faster home connection.

Upload It from your VPS and download it from your PC, or share your Drive with VPS and copy that data in your PC.

I run into this all the time. Here is my solution. I have other hosts so what I do is install an FTP client on the VPS. Use FTP to upload to another website running on another host. Then from the home PC I run an FTP client to download the files. It's extremely fast and I can move 1GB in minutes. Typically the FTP from the VPS to another server is extremely fast so just the time it takes to download is all the delay you'll experience.

yea, what you can also do with filezilla FTP client for example, is set download limits - so if your internet is slow, even if it took a week or two to download in full, it wouldnt effect your browsing etc.

i would suggest to install apache, and use your vps as a site, then download with a download manager(IDM), i always download big torrents like this.

Upload the files from your VPS to file sharing sites like mediafire, zippyshare etc. Then download it on your PC at home.
