    Hi everyone,

This is probably a fairly simple answer, but I can not find an answer. I have the theme already on my computer that I want to use, but I would like to get the theme from my other site where I have already made the changes to it (ex. I deleted certain parts that I didn't want). Instead of going through the process of editing the theme and deleting parts of it that I don't like on my new site, is there a way I can just get the the theme from the site I already have made with the desired changes, and then upload it to my new site with the desired changes already in place?

-thanks in advance for your responses.

I think you may want to look into Child Themes OP. It will save you lots of hair pulling and time in the future. I can't post links, so google wordpress child themes and it will be the first result.

Yea its easy. You van connect to your hosting through an ftp connection. Filezilla is the program I use. You will needthe settings from your host to connect which is really only the ip address of the website, and your ftp username and password. Once you connect to yoir host you will have access to all of the wordpress files and folders which you can download. After you download the files, then connect to the site where you want to copy the theme to and upload your files there. You can vopy entire websites with ftp.

Simply copy the theme folder using FTP.
That's the simplest solution that comes to my mind ;)

The following is making the assumption the sites are on the same hosting account.

If you have cpanel, go into the folder of the site you want to move, compress the themes and plugins folders together inside the wp-content folder, refresh browser. Click on zipped file that gets created so it is highlighted, click copy, put in the path of the new domain and click copy. Finally, navigate into the wp-content folder within the new domain, click on the zipped file to highlight it, then click extract. Done.
