I need to contact them over someone that has been doing a investment scheme using false companies. I've been doing some research into someone and my research has pointed out that the person was involved in an investment scam.

Find a local police station phone number. It will probably be hard with the language barrier. Also, I'm not sure how the police are in thailand, so they might not care/do anything. Good luck.

I did the same thing with someone in the US. Turned out to be a 16 year old kid, police showing up at your house, not even threatening to file charges, can be a huge motivator haha

IMO you should stick to your own business unless this affects you or someone you know. You don't want to get yourself into something you may regret.

I doubt the police will do anything though it's always worth a try.

Your best bet is to go via the tourist police, they will be able to forward you to the correct people.

    1155 if you're dialing locally.

Go to the Thai embassy in your country. Or go to your country's embassy in Thailand. In both cases they will be able to help and direct you to the right channels.

Come on folks the OP has no chance of pulling a dude down in Thailand...

Crime and the Police work together to broker deals - like if a guy is accused of a scam or crime - he pays off the police to forget about it end of story...

How do I know I spent over 7 of the last 17 years in Thailand when based in Asia...

Contact Interpol and see what they can do for you.

The guy is just a clueless writer who wants to grab attention. He gets a good start, but does not research properly. His articles are full of wrong facts and fals accusations. One of the worst journalists ever. I think this guy just writes from his desk and gives his own interptations of other opinions. He is not a guy who goes out and does get facts from real investigations.

So many off the wall comments in this thread from folks who have not got a clue what they are talking about...

Yes Thailand is a beautiful country but it has an under belly that thrives on murder - corruption - drugs and wholesale crime, moreover if you f**k with a Thai guy the likely outcome is that at best you will be lucky to walk again...

Folks think carefully before you offer advice to the OP that may lead him into serious personal harm or worse...

You don't learn about Thailand from TV - Movie or News et al...

If you have not lived in Thailand best not mislead the OP

    Just my 2 cents...

The person is not from Thailand originally she is from Austria and has already scammed people out of over $500,000.

Don't be stupid. Just mind your own business. Thai police is hand in hand with the criminals. So if you are staying in Thailand it will be really stupid of you to report a scam/crime to a police man who already gets a share from that scam. And this can happen anywhere in the world, police is corrupt. Darn, I wouldn't report my neighbors for selling coke you know..I care for my legs.

Its a 27 year old webcam model that already got busted for making porn there, so I doubt she is working with the thai police. I also don't live in Thailand. I thought BHW hated scammers, when did scamming people become ok?

Scamming people is not ok of course. Still, plenty here mentioned it already. I´m living in Thailand for quite a while as well.

Pretty much impossible to do anything if the scam isnt worth thousands of dollars and/or you're not present at least in TH. If its half a million as you're saying, embassies / interpol /etc in your country would work. :)

If she is smart enough to have scammed $500,000 already...

Then make no mistake she is smart enough to pay off the Thai Police plus of course she will have a 'minder' and/or triad she pays they all do in that business in Asia
