How can I auto-relist and show up as newly listed?

I've been running on ebay for about 4 months now, my goal was to show up as cheapest price, newly listed, and ending soonest for my items to maximize views. Once I got the ball rolling I began listing 10-20 items a day.

I've finally hit the 30 day mark, today is the first day that items will be ending. However, I have discovered a problem:

When listing, I used the GTC option, thinking the auto renew would cause them to re-list and thus, every day, I would have aucitons ending soonest, then auto-relist and show up under newly listed. HOWEVER, it turns out GTC does not cause your item to show up under newly listed, it retains the old original listing date and just tags on another 30 days for time remaining.

I've called ebay and they keep suggesting I use 30 day listings and manually relist them when they expire. This is not a very viable method, as I do not wish to renew items on a daily basis. I want to be able to list items, set it, and forget it until it sold.

Does anyone know of any type of software, ebay app, SOMETHING, that will do the following:

    1. relist an item after 30 days
    2. reset the items starting time so it becomes viewable in "newly listed"
    3. retain the updated qty listing etc. (if i start an auction with qty of 2, and within that 30 days 1 sells, itll re-list as a qty of 1)

Not shy with paid options here. Just need to find a way to do this.

I've looked into since you posted (was considering this before) but after speaking with their support, their auto-relist doesn't update the new qty, just relists with whatever original qty you had select, sadly that isn't suitable for me.

At this point it's looking like I'll have to get something programmed. I've gotten a few people offer but no one wants to give me a price.

With that said, if someone thinks they could code something like this shoot me a PM and we'll discuss it more. Seriously interested here

If someone has a solution to my needs in any form, I'll be willing to BUY the answer.

It is hard to get me head around the reason you want to use GTC at all. Using GTC means that auction will rarely show as ending soonest using Best Match search (the default).

...what? if someone searches by best match I wouldn't show up for "ending soonest" anyways, just like anyone else, as they wont be searching for ending soonest...

unless im missing something here in which case please explain.

My goal was to show up as newly listed, cheapest price, and ending soonest every day mon-sun. I am the cheapest price for my niche so that was easy, and I have a rotation of 10 auctions a day [and growing] in a full month cycle so ending soonest is covered, but I cant seem to find an automated way of re-listing them with updated qty that will make me come up as newly listed.

if I can somehow finangle things to show up as best match that would be GREAT and please explain, but I thought it was all about keywords and your "rank" in ebay to accomplish that...

i believe the best match places listings ending soon a bit higher.

How? GTC nevers ends so how could it really rank in ending soonest?

keywords are important. your refund policy is important (longer refund period=higher rank). shipping cost is important (free=good). your time to ship is important (Get It Fast is really good).

i am assuming your "rank" is referring to feedback. just make sure your percentage stays over 98%.

well thats fine, as I said I have ending soonest covered.

GTC counts down, 30 days, 29 days, 28 days...1 hour, 30 minutes, 10 minutes, then at the last second it auto-adds another 30 days, starting the cycle over again. I show up ending soonest but instead of actually ending, it just adds another 30 days once the time runs out

    thats all covered already.

feedback, age of your account, amount of sales, and auctions stats (views, watches, etc etc) from what I know they all factor into best match "rankings"

anyways, basically, I have all that covered. I just have to find a way to actually re-list and not just extend time by 30 days.

    Hi aff219,
The last post was about 1 year ago, but do you still need auto-relist software?
I'm developing an eBay listing software, so maybe I can create the function.
