Yeah, I'm new here and to IM but I've been reading a lot, day and night on this forum and other blogs. With different opinions, one would definitely get confused about the performance of new domain and young posts.

    >>> I have a four months blog (food health niche, optimized for comp and low comp long keywords) with over 100 articles (avg 3, 500k word articles) and 1,500 backlinks built more than a month now but traffic is about 20 UV daily.
    >>> The second blog is app review with over 100 articles, 2k backlinks and less than 200 UV daily, coming mostly from 3 articles.
    >>> My question is, would it take time for relatively new Post (less than a year) to perform on serp compared to new post on aged domain as I've heard people getting ranked without building links and yet, some saying domain age is not relevant while some believed post age is the factor here and not domain age.

This could be caused by a number of different things, first things to look at are; is the content unique and of high quality and are these high quality backlinks? What is the DA of your website for example?
About the age of your domain, this is indeed one of the many ranking factors, but only domain age won't get you verry far. And for post age, in most case when you post a new article, and therefore create a new page, this page would get a little boost in the serps for a while, afther some time this effect will wear of.

My first thought would be to check your antagonists at the first page of both your niches.
What amount of pages do they have, how many words and of what quality are their articles,
how old are their domains, how many backlinks do they have, are their links high authority?
Age is a factor for website rankings however more may be at play here.
Research those that do better than you and do better than them.
