Go to the link below and sign up to become a user tester.

Essentially you get paid to test out websites and give your opinions and thoughts ($10/site) and it only takes 10 minutes per site

I did this myself a couple months ago, and made a few hundred bucks since then doing usability studies.
As long as your test rating is good (which you can achieve simply by performing well on tests) you can have at least 3 tests sent to you daily,
so say you can manage to grab 1 a day, that'll add up to $300/month not too bad for 5 hours of work

Obviously this isn't an internet marketing strategy, but for the beginners out there who need money to invest into things like SEO software or a media buying campaign, this is a good place to get that start up cash

thats a short list from a couple months ago,
the real lists much bigger but it has some personal data in between

during that time I was busy and only made $60 in a month,
    but hopefully thats enough proof,
there have been months where I made a couple hundred

Really does make me laugh when people try this on an internet marketing forum.

It's even funnier when people actually fall for it...

I tried it a few hours ago, and they emailed me back within about 2 hours of me doing the signup process. Here is the results of the email, verbatim (minus the URL that I cannot post):

Thank you for applying to become a tester. Your sample test was not approved because you didn't do one of the following:

    1. Didn't complete all of the tasks
    2. Didn't completely follow the instructions that were requested
    3. Didn't continuously speak your thoughts out loud during the recording
    4. Didn't fill out answers to the written questions
We still think you have potential so we hope you'll try again.

Here are some of the main things we're looking for in testers:
Thinks out loud. The best testers speak loudly and clearly and keep up a running dialogue, which makes it easy for the viewer to follow their thought process. Try to not to pause for long periods while reading text or filling out forms. One way to avoid this is to say, "I want to know more about this" or "I'm looking for this information so I'm going to read this section...".

Gives honest feedback. The #1 thing that our clients look for is honest feedback about their sites, especially what's confusing or problematic for users.
Is natural and has "fresh eyes". A tester's job is to play the role of a person who would really use the website. Please don't act like an expert and give advice. Also, a client wants to see a tester's first impressions so don't browse a site ahead of time. Clients get frustrated when they see that a tester has already clicked a link on their site, indicating they were "practicing" before doing the video.
Completes all tasks. The most common reason given for low ratings is failure to perform all the tasks. Be sure to read the tasks carefully. To make sure that you have covered everything, you can review your tasks by clicking on "Previous" on the Screen Recorder.
Completes all tasks & written questions. Be sure to read the Scenario and Tasks carefully so you don't miss anything. Try your best to honestly complete the tasks and answer the written questions.

    Good luck!

    --------------
I completed all of the tasks, I followed the instructions that it gave, and I talked the entire time about what I saw and what I thought of it. My recording was about 4 min long.
I'd like you to note that I spoke aloud, clearly, and that English is my native language, even though that doesn't mean much I found. I also completed all of the written questions, which I gave 1-2 sentence answers to.

I just resubmitted a test, and the recording was 2 min long, and I tried harder to speak my "thoughts" on the website, although it was basically the same stuff that I was talking about before. I'll post back with results soon.

newbies can always start up by doing simple tasks on forums. even copy paste works are kinda ok for couple of dollars a day...... then reading - experimenting - trial and error - stick to it and moolah will be in ur wallet for sure ;)

Second email back from them, verbatim:

    Dear applicant,
We've received an unbelievable number of applicants lately. Unfortunately, we have determined that you aren't a good fit for the testing requirements of our clients.
Thank you for taking the time to apply.

My initial reaction to this is: this is a scam, because I followed all the steps twice in a row, but that's just my reaction going through something twice in a very exact way. Others should post their thoughts.
