For example say my site is eatfood.com, for some reason my articles will come out like eatfood.com/Blog/17635/how to eat food

My products and other pages don't have that but my blog does for some reason. Would it be worth redirecting all my blog posts and losing social shares to get rid of the numbers on the url? What has been your experience with this?

    Thanks!

As above poster said, just make sure your permalink is correct, change it and the posts will show titles not numbers

Those numbers won't hurt your rankings, no reason to change this on an established site. Keywords in the URL (aside the domain name) are a minimal ranking faktor. Speaking URLs are nice for visitors, but ranking wise they are totally overrated.

They shouldnt matter, but if you are using wordpress, then you can change your permalinks.

Thanks. Guess I may save the trouble of changing URL's then. :)

Make sure that your link is permanently changed or not. Then you can redirect URL to new site. Keyword in your URL contain low ranking factor. So they assess too highly.

This. It's a useful habit to get into!

SEO is pretty reliant on content these days - moreso now than ever before.
