    I never use images in my blog posts and I know its hurting my rankings. I know how to put them in the posts but have no idea how to use them to help my on page SEO. Dont you have to put tags on them or something? How do you do that?

    use this for WP top left positioning. It's spintax so It'll spin 1 of 3 images. Obviously replace all the XXX's, YYY's, ZZZ's and ???'s and extend it to be as many spins as you like.

    Code:
    {<img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-15" title="XXXXX" src="[URL]http://XXXXXX.com[/URL]" alt="" width="???" height="???"/>|<img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-15" title="YYYYYY" src="[URL]http://YYYYYYY.com[/URL]" alt="" width="???" height="???"/>|<img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-15" title="ZZZZZ" src="[URL]http://ZZZZZZ.com[/URL]" alt="" width="???" height="???"/>}

    When you go to upload an image, you have a filename, which is what you named your image. You have a title and also alternate text which is circled crudely in the image. I give them 3 different short phrases (LSI) which is somewhat related to keyword or topic. Also on the bottom where it says "Link URL" I change it to none to make image non clickable. I do see some sites ranking well though with the original WP URL in there and it takes user to page w/ just the image. Serves no use to me that way.

    You might want to reconsider some of this advice. The recent "Over-optimization" crackdown specifically penalizes sites that keyword stuff alt and title tags for images.

    I use a keyword rich file name, a "caption" style LSI keyword for the title, and the alt tag should reflect what the image is of.

    You can get away with it if there are few images on the page, but f there are a lot of images, your SEO score will be better if the alt tags say things like "girl with laptop", "mom with baby" instead of using keywords.

    That said, I always have one image named "mainkeyword logo".

    By the way, since the title tags are part of the page content, it is a slick way to slip in LSI keywords. Many search engines give no weight to the title tag at all, but it does add instances of LSI keywords to the page.

    Your "Girl with laptop" image can have a title like "Make money online the easy way".

    I know what spins are just seemed confusing with images. How/why would you spin the text on an image thats on one post?

    if you're posting a spun article to a blog network - I also throw in a few empty spins so no image appears eg {||code|code|code}

    @ Techxan well put.

    He was talking about his own site.

    I never used images for backlinking, I did save the code. Design is definitely in the details though. Some of the stuff you learn on BHW. Thanks.

    one example would be to post to different article directories/wikis/blogs and avoid getting suspended for publishing already existing content
