Okay... There are a TON of these "autoblog supplier" store sites on Flippa. How are these guys providing proof of earnings like this? Are they just photoshopping the screenshots or something? I just find it hard to believe these guys are making that much money "in the first 9 days!" or whatever they are claiming. And if they are making that much money, why sell the site? Obviously it's fishy. I just want to know how they are coming up with the "proof" screenshots and what their "marketing plans" are.

People are paying $1500+ for these sites so sellers are at least believing the hype....

Self-clicking the ads, perhaps? And selling the sites before the ban?

Well they are actual SALES records they are showing. Not adsense or anything. They are showing paypal screens of all the sales they've made. No way they could have done it themselves unless they had friends do it for them? I don't know.

I'm sure someone knows how this is working... Hell... I'm willing to bet whoever is selling these sites is a member of this very forum.

Can't the make a few PayPal accounts, send money to them and then buy whatever they're selling with it.

The only thing they lose by that is the PayPal fees.

Photoshop is the answer. Screenshots are easy to fake if you're just halfway decent with PS.

I've caught several that had showed payments in PP screenshots that didn't even match the items being billed by the website (i.e. PP screenshot showed a ton of $79 payments but the top item on the website was $75). Of course my comments were deleted in minutes by the seller and either websites or screenshots immediately corrected.

You're correct that many such sellers are active members here. Some screenshots even show BHW in the browser tabs. On lower end websites I believe most sellers have no morals about blatantly faking everything. Traffic numbers are fake, revenues are fake, stories are fake, ALL numbers are fake. They are using nulled templates and plugins or illegally selling plugins that plugin creators say can't be sold (WP-robot on half of them). When purchasing these new websites only commit an amount you feel the website creation and domain name are worth. If you bid according to the seller's numbers you're going to be disappointed more times than not.

Look at the seller accounts of these fake number websites and you'll either find they're linked to many banned or poor feedback accounts or they are new selling accounts less than a couple months old. Once the negative feedback starts pouring in from the buyers that got scammed then the sellers just make new accounts to rinse and repeat. Flippa mgmt seems little concerned about it because they're getting minimum $30 a listing

Exactly what I thought! And I've seen someone call out a seller on his sales not matching his claims. Wonder if that was you? lol
