I heard from some people claim ,

just open the door for them ..and amazon will do the rest...

aka once they visit your tag link , cookies will be store ...

next time they visit amazon again will be on your tag link?

    I wonder is it true?

Once someone visits amazon from your link, anything they buy in the next 24 hrs will be credited to you.

Like huyphan47 said, BUT if they were to click on someone else's affiliate link, then the credit would go to them.
... actually I have my page over right now, here I'll copy pasta it for you.

"In most cases, you earn advertising fees for visitors that come to an Amazon site and place any qualifying items in a customer's Shopping Cart within 24 hours of their arrival at most Amazon sites.com or 30-days for MyHabit.com. However, this 24-hour window for most Amazon sites and 30-day window for MyHabit.com will end before it expires once the customer submits his order or reenters Amazon.com through a Link that is not your Special Link. Once the window is closed, you will not earn advertising fees on any subsequent purchases. However, if the customer then returns to Amazon.com through one of your Special Links, this opens a new 24-hour window for most Amazon sites or 30-day window for MyHabit.com."

I'm in the process if building my 3rd amazon site. The first one I targeted wrong keywords, the second one just does not rank (not even in top 500) for some reasons, hoping third time is the charm

Trust me man, hoping is going to get you in the same place you were before. You should get a SEO expert to help you with rankings.

Well I do outsource SEO, for my second site I picked one SEO provider from the marketplace that got mostly positive feedback and recommendation from reputed members. I'm still not sure why it does not rank though, I mean how hard is it to make it to top 500 of a low- med comp keyword?

I think the best way to rank fast with some low competitive keywords is to upload thousands of products to your store and get indexed by Google. I have bought several stores from xeniasites using Xenia plugin and have some success with them. Without any SEO and marketing work I am getting good traffic and some commissions from Amazon (about $50 per site/month). As I see all traffic I get comes from Google with the help of so called longtail keywords. Put simply, I more believe in such technique than SEO.
