I'm digging up an old topic:

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/271386-bought-domain-turns-out-has-age-3-years.htm

I bought a domain a year ago and have just now decided to work on it, and when I use domain age checking tools I see that is was registered before 7 years ago.

Actually, some domain age checking tools say only 1 year ago when I registered it but tools like Way Back Machine say 7 years but it looks like there was a break between ownership...

I was wondering how aggressive I can build backlinks with the latest G updates?

When I check it's current backlinks it only has 45, and some of them are from peoples Facebook accounts as their websites, and a pretty nice one from stumble upon that is currently trickling in traffic...

You can blast away but keep in mind that you have to maintain link velocity so that your links dont spike and drop and also dont forget you must use high PR links or you will get slapped. Use Ahrefs.com total link graph as a guide.

However if you are blasting high pr links then dont worry as G is indexing links slowly so this acts like a drip feed in a sense.

Build all the links you want, just stay away from spammy profile comments and especially AA Scrapebox blasts. These will barely get you any benefit, and will most likely bring Penguin Penalty to your site. Then good luck with recovery.

Yeah, I never use SB blasts anymore and don't like to mess with wikis either...

I'm thinking about doing a lot of SEnuke blasts which aren't as spammy yet can be if done over and over again on a fresh new site. I made a template for SEnuke which will blast the bejeezus out of a domain lol. I was wondering if it's safe or not but it sounds like it can be ok.
