Whenever it reports a CPC of >$10, how accurate does it tend to be?
I personally have not worked with high CPC\low volume keywords, so I was wondering whether it's worth trying for some experience or not.

Have you tried monetizing from low search\high CPC term and is the CPC generally about the same as what was stated at the tool when you first researched it?

It varies from keyword to keyword. Just remember that the estimated cpc is for Adwords advertisers, so you won't be getting all of that with Adsense. I just look for high competition and a cpc of $1+ in a niche that will easily get high CTR.

I don't go lower than 1k/month exact anymore, as I never managed to make more than like $7/month with lower searches than that.

Yeah, 60% is still good for me. Thanks for the input, but that still doesn't answer my question.

I looked at one of my keywords to compare for you. I have a KW that is 1900 exact searches with a CPC of 2.58.

Since November 1st I am getting a CPC of .72

    So apparently not very....

    1) about 1/3 of that CPC advertiser cost goes to google

    2) if google starts displaying "user history relevant" ads, chances are you'll see some clicks that come in the 5-10 cent range. Notice how sometimes you visit the VM ware site for example, then every ad on almost every page you go to on the internet the ads are for VM ware? you can have a site about los angeles mesothelioma lawyers, at $100 CPC or whatever it is lately, but if google is serving up ads like VM ware or similar because of visitor history, you'll be seeing lower $$ clicks

Not very is the perfect answer.

Don't rely on that thing for anything but a very rough, very ballpark figure.

I've found it to be pretty accurate, but you have to know that its just a rough, rough estimation. They have a system that would be too complicated to give you a definitive answer. you are always going to find inconsistencies where you end up paying less than given number.
