I have a site that I can't promote through adwords because of the nature of the product, and I can't for the LIFE of me to get my site to really rank in Google. So I've been using Adcenter for a few months, but the clicks don't really jive with the keyword tool. My main keyword phrase is only 2 words, Google says there's 301,000 global exact matches, and 8100 local. On yahoo and bing, I rank #3 for the phrase, and page 1 for a few other phrases. The problem is, between yahoo, bing, and Adcenter, I'm only getting like 100 hits a day on the keywords. I KNOW that yahoo, bing, and adcenter can't compete with traffic you can get from Google, but you think My clicks would be higher, considering the results Google shows for monthly searches.

Do you think the keyword tool is really that accurate, as far as monthly searches!

I think you should read this, it may help with your numbers: http://mashable.com/2011/04/11/bing-google-stats/

It says Google is 64% and Yahoo and Bing total to 30%. So Google should bring over double what you're currently getting from Yahoo and Bing combined. You should be able to use these numbers and your current traffic numbers from Yahoo and Bing to backtrack.

Hope I helped. If I misunderstood, feel free to PM me and I can help you.

Compete.com provide monthly search market stats that seem to be very helpful to understand the breaksdown of who leads the battle for search.

While dated quite a bit, I think this article give a nice look at what you might expect or not expect when looking at the data the the Google Keyword Tool provides.

    Hope this is helpful!
