    Hey people,

my hotmail account got hacked. Its my official emails. Got my AMs emailing there, hosting details, sensitive campaign info there.

The problem started today. I logged in my account last night with no problems, then starting today cant do it. Password incorrect. I am fucking sure that I havent chnaged the password.

All my other emails work fine.

I dont remember any of that personal info for 'forgotten password" as the account is 5 years old. The only thing is valid in it is my real name.

Could anyone help with this? I could even pay for anyone to hack it back.

    Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This might make you mad, but you probably can't get it back since you won't be able to verify the information on the account.

it wasn't 'hacked', you probably volunteered the info into a phishing site, or have a keylogger installed, or used wifi and somebody's rogue AP snatched it. or even worse you may have used the same email password to register on a forum somewhere that was compromised.

if you email hotmail you should get a response a year from now if you're lucky. maybe livechat will work but you can't confirm anything. next time buy a domain for $0.99 and use it to forward all your emails. if one get's compromised just change the domain to point to a new email address, no need to switch email addresses with all your contacts.

If you have a static IP hotmail support should be able to confirm you are the account holder based on the IP you have always logged in from, and they will see the person who took your accounts IP logging in starting today. That is ofcourse assuming they bother to respond.

good luck in retrieving your account back. it is always advisable to download all your emails and keep a local copy.

shit like this happens and even if you have the luck to retrieve your account, the content could have been downloaded and deleted from it.

Why has no one mentioned the police? Maybe it is someone you know who used the security q's or something as basic as that....maybe the police would then be able to track down the IP/ISP used to access your account during the time frame you indicate. (OK, ok....assumes some stupidity on the hackers side - accessing your account from home computer)

In my country this is cyber fraud, up to two years in prision. Of course the server is probably overseas....

*Off topic - can someone tell me what the statute of limitations is for cyber fraud??

Sorry, this must be a nightmare for you.

Just go there and fill in the details you know, even if you cannot remember your signup details you know stuff like you IP and where/when you logged is aswell as you contact and emails etc. the details are passed onto a person so it doesn't get resolved instantly but if it is genuinely your account then you should be able to get it back.

you mean there's a lot of programs that will pretend to hack the password using standard bruteforce dictionary attack methods but instead install rootkits and bots on your machine. just like all the forced zango or rootkit malware around under the name 'facebook password retrieval' lulz

I would recommend you never use a free email account for important emails, especially hotmail.

If anything, Gmail would give you the best protection.

I had a key-logger once on a virtual machine and i was watching my network activity and i saw it was uploading files. me checking and checking.......then i ran ''Cain and Abel'' for 10 minutes and !!!!BAM!!!! I see Fucking every 30 secs some bitch-ass makes a Screen shot and uploads it to his Ftp-server. but since i got Cain and Abel running i saw the FTP IP+user+password.
    Wrote down all info
Downloaded all his data of his FTP server on a usbstick
    Deleted everything on his server(over 15000files logs/key-logs/PrintScreenshots).
Went to the police, told them the full story, even tried to gave them the 20GB full of shit USBstick. but no they could do nothing for me.
Went back home, spitted through the files, scraped the emails out.
Hacked some of them, send some spam with it ,but nothing usefull.
Then 2 weeks later i was like hey, wtf i am stupid i didn't scrape any PayPal accounts.
Believe it or not $20,000 on 1 freaking account, (1 with $2000 and 11 other shitaccounts with less then $1000, but hey free cash)

transferred and split 10k over 10 times on different accounts, went to BHW and DP and bought every program/script/e book/packs/and alot of more shit i would ever need, Released all programs/scripts/e books on BHW and other places. opened a loadshit of 1 year reseller @hostgator. SPEND 1K ON DIGIXMAS OMFG
And started my journey to be real Black-hatter.
