I'm looking for a cheap hosting just to host one site, Can you offer me custom package?
Well I've got this problem just now. I can not login to my own cpanel. It always instantly logout by itself saying that my login session was expired. I can't even send support tickets from client dashboard on your own website (it says submitted but never appear on the dashboard). The live chat operator was not help at all.

Very interesting how some people come here to post some minor problems, like "not having heard anything since mid-day" or other minor problems like this - and harming HostWind's reputation with this type of replies. And of course this type of replies are very detailed, explaining a minor problem in half of page. And very interesting how people can't post similar replies about how good is this hosting, comparative to other similar ones - even comparative to the bigger ones!
So I am here to say that HostWinds is the best hosting I ever seen. The speed is excellent, and the support is really awesome. The support team is solving my problems in a very short time, and I am always getting very fast replies from them. I can't understand how some people is complaining about didn't getting replies from them from a long time (in their opinion - but in reality it was only a few hours, as they are telling later) - because I am getting replies to my support tickets in minutes, every time I am opening a new ticket! They are solving all my problems really fast, and always updating me about the status of my problem, to let me know that they didn't forgot about me, just working on a solution
In the past 3 years I was using HostGator and iPage - but I can tell for sure that in all these years I didn't got so much and really helpful support to my problems, like now on HostWinds. The support is always very polite, friendly and helpful - and they never let my problems unsolved, like on my old hostings. Just to specify: my problems are usually not server related - I have some site problems like plugin functionality, or I can't upload/move/replace something on FileManager, or other things like this. And this is not their job, to solve this type of problems - but they never refuse me, even with this newbie webmaster problems - they really "care about their clients", like their logo says!
I am sure that every problem will appear in the future, they will solve in their usual mode - fast, polite, friendly and helpful. And in my opinion, this is the most important thing when I need to choose a hosting - because every problem can be solved if there is always somebody there, who can and want to help me, who always care about me
I really love HostWinds, and I will always recommend it to anybody; thank you, Peter, for your great services offered!

I just got signed up with hostwinds the other day . I dealt with micheal b. I got my first VPS and he answered all my (probably basic) questions and got everything setup and running quickly for me. As you know when your a website owner you need any issues fixed ASAP. I had a small issue and got it resolved through there livechat instantly. Cant overstate how important this is when running a site. Keep it up guys and thanks for all your help.
Host was down for a few seconds, used a couple of sites that checks if they are indeed down. They confirmed that the site were down so I logged in here to see if there is any update regarding any DDOS attacks or whatever. I was about to read the 3rd/4th post in this last page of thread before the servers were back up again after a quick refresh.
First time I noticed a site being down after 6 months of usage (although I don't know the exact stats for uptime on external tools/plugins for HostWinds). Good stuff.
EDIT: Spoke too soon, its down again. opening a support ticket.
been down for around 2-3 hours for me too. usually hostwinds uptime is pretty good but lately ive been getting notifications that my sites have been down. I dont care if they go down for 6 minutes at a time once per day but the extended blocks of time are really killing me. hoping everything is back up soon, their site isn't up for me either
Are the servers still down? I have just bought a business package which I need ASAP online - when I install wordpress and view the url it's basically saying nothing's there or can't reach the host?
I've heard good things about hostwinds so this is quite frustrating.

Over 7 hours of downtime for me today. And over 4 hours yesterday..
Do these downtimes happen frequently? About to sign up for a year of Shared Ultimate hosting. Any lifetime coupon codes available? The one on the front page is not working.
I have just signed up with a basic reseller account, everything is running smoothly so far. Time to get my feet wet

You're right. Most discount codes don't work or are "expired".
