    superman,

That is a pretty unreasonable request. There are costs involved with hosting your site every day. They have to pay for server rental/colocation, bandwidth costs, power costs if colocating, staff, etc, etc...

If you do find a host that charged only once, personally, I would never sign up with that host.

Not bad. Pays Rs? Indian company I presume? I guess since India is quite a big IT hub, it probably is true. But what are the terms and conditions for a lifetime hosting account? Do you know cause I could not find the t&c.

Hosting seems to be a hot niche for scammers and thiefs, let me share some words to avoid every time when it relates to web hosting:

    FREE HOSTING
    FREE ACCOUNT
    UNLIMITED SPACE, etc
    UNMETERED SPACE, etc
    ONE TIME PAYMENT
4.000 GB space and 100.000 GB bandwidth for example.

Never mind how nice the site look think twice before joining them evne the big players in the hosting arena have failed the space and traffic tests so keep your eyes open and your mind clear when choosing a web hosting provider.

Keep in mind also that majority of web hosting companies oversell its bandwidth and disk space, this is like selling the same house to 100 people, house is so bog so they will never find their selves there and if one day you find it out, you are asked to move into a bigger one but more expensive house.

I know a web hosting provider that specializes on not oversold hosting, but not sure if I can share the link here, still pm me if interested...

This is a good idea in theory. Pay for hosting once, and you never have to worry about it again. However, the developer is banking on the notion that s/he will continue to gain new customers in order to pay for the costs associated with hosting a plethora of sites.

This type of plan is not really all that cost effective for the site owner/hosting service. They must continue to place profits from new customers towards marketing costs in order to ensure a fresh customer base, which ultimately pays the bills.

While current customers may provide a certain amount of referrals, this is not guaranteed, and the site owner must continue to advertise in order to maintain services. When the site owner/hosting service can no longer afford to bring in enough new customers to both turn a profit and maintain hosting services, the site often goes "belly up" and you are left to find new hosting.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not discounting the importance of marketing and advertising for site owners. However, sites such as these, which promise a one-time payment for lifetime services, are truly limited in relation to recurring income. Recurring income is a staple in this business. Traditional hosting services tend to stick around because they not only receive a consistent influx of new customers but also receive a major source of income from current customers who are pleased with their services and choose to be recurrently billed.

i've run a webhosting business since early 2004 and i've seen scams like this hundreds of times. basically the host offers an unbelievable offer (in this case a 1 payment for life deal) and collects quite a few sales in the 1 month that he paid for hosting...once he's collected a nice profit on his initial investment of 1 month's worth of server rental (or once his 2nd month's payment is due) the host will close up shop with all of your money. since paypal has buyer protection, he may extend his deal for a certain amount of days to make sure chargebacks arent a possibility anymore.

BEWARE OF HOSTING SCAMS LIKE THIS!

i very highly suggest you do some research on the host before paying for their service. the most reputable place to find out about a host would be in the forums of the following site... i suggest doing research on any host, regardless of price. the most important things in hosting are uptime and support. what good is a host that doesn't answer your questions or fix your problems? what good is a host that charges $3 for a year but never has your site online?

If it was somewhat legit I would have headed over to ebay and sold some reseller accounts. [on a throw away account]

ps. my personal sites would never get hosted there

    I would have to agree.

I don't see how that business model would really be sustainable.

I would not use it for anything that was bringing money in.

Indeed. Some of these webhost servers are offshore and slow as heck. I purchased another one for $40 on ebay and there was no support whatsoever. I wouldn't use it ever again. Right now I'm on apthost, and they work miracles.

It's an iframed representation of http://proearn.info/WHMMasterReseller.html

You can read about other plans offered by proern on its start page.

It's very funny to see a serious webhosting company on a [dot]info domain.

I suppose it's the site of someone who purchased a master resell domain. Digg further to find out the real hosting company behind, then you may evaluate it.

Even if the guy were genuine, the way he would provide the service would be to have a single server (or very few) and sell this "unlimited" bandwidth and space to hundreds of clients who would then have to literally fight over it. Consequences: slow websites, less uptime, and the list goes on.

He wouldn't care because he probably doesn't plan on providing customer service anyway. And if you've ever tried getting a refund for so-called "virtual goods" on Paypal, you know that it's practically impossible.

    Don't fall for this.
